MSAM CME Program & Chinese New Year Luncheon 2025 — A Day of Knowledge and Celebration 9 February 2025
The Malaysian Society of Aesthetic Medicine (MSAM) kicked off the year with a highly successful Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on 9 February 2025 at the Xsolla Curine Academy, KL Eco City. The event brought together esteemed speakers and professionals in the aesthetic medicine field for a morning of insightful sessions, valuable networking, and festive celebration.
The CME program commenced with registration at 9:30 AM, followed by a packed schedule of engaging presentations from industry leaders. Topics ranged from the introduction of aesthetic medicine to legal regulations, aging science, research methodology, and ethics.
Highlights included:
- Dr Jason Yip‘s overview of aesthetic medicine, setting the tone for the day.
- Dr Chu KooiYen’s important insights into the legislation of aesthetic practice in Malaysia.
- Dr Lim TingSong on the Science of Aging, offering a clinical perspective on managing aging in aesthetic practice.
- Professor Dr Mai Chun Wai’s breakdown of Research Methodology, essential for evidence-based practice.
- Dr Hew YinKeat addressed Ethics in Aesthetic Medicine, a critical topic in maintaining standards and professionalism.
- Dr Tristan Tan concluded the talks with a session on Red Flags in Aesthetic Medicine, emphasizing patient safety and cautionary practices.
The session ended with a lively Q&A segment, followed by a photo session to commemorate the gathering.
In the spirit of togetherness, MSAM also hosted a delightful Chinese New Year Luncheon right after the academic sessions. Members and guests enjoyed traditional dishes, exchanged festive greetings, and celebrated the start of a prosperous new year.
